In conjunction with Optibelt, Reliance will design drives for you to achieve optimum efficiency or to calculate proper belt tensions.

DESIGN
Reliance will facilitate the design of bespoke 2-pulley V-belt drive. We need basic information such as the drive’s power, desired RPMs, centre distances and the desired service factor. We can sort the output by weight, number of belts, service factor, and many other variables to find the drive that fits your need.

TENSION
For existing 2-pulley V-belt drives, we can get the correct belt tension values to properly install and run for peak performance & efficiency.

OPTIBELT TT TENSION TESTER  
Allows for easy measurement of tension in v-belts, ribbed belts, timing power transmission belts. Simply turn on, position the red dot on the belt with the unit, approximately 12 inches away, and flick the belt with your finger. The unit will register the belt tension using the belts vibration with no interference from outside noise. The results are quickly displayed on the colour LCD screen.
Results are measured in hertz (Hz) which proper tension can be referenced by using Optibelt's free CAP drive calculation software.

The brand, type, condition and colour of the belt have no effect on the readings. Tension recommendations can be taken from Optibelt specifications and CAP calculations.
Reliance will come on site and take belt drive readings for you or train you to do it yourselves on an ongoing basis.

OPTIBELT WEBCAP
If you would like the capability to carry out these calculations yourself, we can facilitate you with Optibelt’s WebCAP. This is an easy way to get engineer-level power transmission drive calculations anywhere you have internet access. Its ease of use allows any installer to get the most out of their Optibelt product in the field.
