The new OnRobot 103546 SG gripper base is available with three optional interchangeable silicon-molded cups to handle a wide array of irregular shapes and delicate items, making it ideal for pick-and-place applications in food and beverage and other “clean” production applications such as cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, as well as manufacturing or packaging. The Soft Gripper comes with OnRobot’s revolutionary Quick Changer, a base unit, and silicon cups in star or finger versions for greater flexibility.
The Soft Gripper’s silicon cups are dishwasher-safe and comply with FDA 21 CFR (for non-fatty food items) and EC 1935/2004 for food handling. Maximum payload depends on shape, softness, and friction of items to be handled, and grip dimensions range from 11mm to 118mm, depending on cup used.
