Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG): Leading the Way Our commitment to sustainability is anchored in our ESG initiatives. We actively implement environmentally responsible practices, foster positive social impacts, and maintain strong governance standards to drive meaningful change.
Environmental: Reducing Our Footprint 1. Solar Panels Since installing solar panels at all our branches, we’ve reduced our carbon emissions by approximately 4.85 tonnes per month. This reduction is equivalent to: Removing 10 passenger cars from the road monthly. Saving the energy used by approximately 6 average homes in a year.
Electric Vehicles We are on track to convert 50% of our company fleet to electric vehicles (EVs) by January 2025. This transition will cut carbon emissions by an additional 3.1 tonnes per month, equivalent to: Eliminating the emissions from approximately 7,700 miles driven by a gas-powered car each month. Reducing the same amount of COâ‚‚ absorbed by 50 mature trees annually.
Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Packaging Sensor-Controlled Lighting: Across all four locations, sensor-controlled lighting systems ensure no unnecessary energy is wasted. Sustainable Packaging: Box Reuse: 100% of the boxes received from our suppliers, who share our sustainable values, are reused for packaging. Protective Materials: Contents within the boxes, such as fillers and dividers, are also repurposed to safeguard products during shipping.
1. Supporting Charities "Shining a Light on Communities in Need" Every year, we support Focus Ireland’s Shine a Light campaign, raising €9,000 this year alone and participating in sleepouts across our four branches. We also contribute to charities like HUGG Charity, which provides vital support to those in need. 2. Sponsoring Local Sports Teams "Building Stronger Communities Through Sport" We proudly sponsor local teams like COFI Hockey, Leeside Soccer, and Sundays Club Rugby (supporting mixed-ability players). Our support spans male and female teams of all ages, encouraging inclusion and the development of community spirit.
